One of the few reason i listen to magic 89.9 is because of "the forbidden questions" hosted by mo, mojojo and andy manzano...
Most guys compare this show to howard stern's. I personally dont know stern nor his show though. Amongst the show here in the philippines the closest to the "forbidden questions" angst and tactfulness that i can think about is amy perez's "deretsahan" where common folks and freaking gays diss and swear on each other.
In a way, its commendable that mo have enough balls to really pull out such show. Can be compared to sun cellular's groundbreaking almost suicidal stunt with the unlimited text and call. Remember how the underdog shook the telecom industry?
Much of the "forbidden questions" success (the fact that it still runs after 2 months every wednesday morning) and spontaneity can be credited to mo twister, the same reason why most of the tabloid writers diss him...
Imagine a show that ask a celebrity, actor/actress who has BO, the most "plastik", gay, worst in acting, potato queen... imaginable questions that pose unimaginable answer and might place the interviewee in a very sticky and messy situation... Yeah! Its fun, exciting and a relief from
the sensationalized "good" or amplified "evil" of a celebrity, you get the real score, of what is really happening amongst their circle. Plus the possible blood shed! Yun lang... For mo's size its a good thing no one ever waited for him outside their studio or his crib to beat the crap out of him. Its good news as well that no one ever trashed talk andy or laugh at her ala mojo jojo and made her cry, or mojo jojo be raped by a guy standing 6'4"/5"... Nah he might enjoy it instead...
Its not far fetch that the trio made enemies or strong critics like cristy fermin and lolit solis, so its was really exciting to hear that lolit solis said yes to do the game!
Like wow! Like many placed their bets that lolit would have her ass swooped and spinning with mo's line of questioning... But no, she made it through the 40 question as if shes eating peanuts, in her stature eventhough she made or confirmed new enemies, yeah nothings new, and besides
she doesnt give an f...
In a way, i found new respect on lolit's frankness and openess, the way she answered the questions, and the way she played the game... She even followed the show's english format and lolit's english is good, yes... Im not sure who won against who, if its a game both side played well.
They even sounded as if their friends, or was that a new level of freaking professionalism...
Lolit's presence and her answering all the question is a spat on mo's face, if he thought that he can really grill/torture lolit, but if its to be taken on the trio's original perspective that "forbidden questions" is just another dangerous game with difficult questions, lolit making
the 1st ever completed 40 is a milestone...
